JOIN is an organization based out of Portland, OR that works to bridge the gap between housed and homeless communities. What began as youth immersion programming has since turned into work focusing on housing retention. Though JOIN’s rebrand was important as they progressed as a company, it was integral that the community they serve didn’t see rebranding as a frivolous use of their funding. To help keep budgets low, but also provide options, I prioritized creating a black and white option for all collateral, as well as four supplemental colours that felt calm and inviting. I also proposed an updated wordmark that was bold, simple, and modular that would be easily recognized by all involved with JOIN.
